2009 was an amazing year for me as I was able to explore my long held dream of photography. Before I was quite ready to handle it I had more clients than I could count! How wonderful to finally explore my dream.
I counted and realized I shot over 14 weddings and too many sessions to count. I have grown as a photographer and person and am grateful for the experience.
As amazing as the experience has been it has been effecting the amount of time I have to spend with my family, especially my son. I can either have photography or I can have a life.
So with a happy heart I have closed Elmwood Court Photography and am spending time with my family.
Thank you to all my clients for an amazing year and for letting me be a part of your special moments.
Although I may still be posting sessions they are only for my family and friends and I thank you for your interest but I am no longer accepting clients with no exceptions.
Thank you again,

Two familes, twice the fun

Double my pleasure...

I met two families at Fairmont Park in Riverside for a fun family session on Friday. Sweet Sarah and her mom and dad I had the pleasure of working with before. Sarah is still a photographer's dream to work with and so cute she melts my heart.

Sorry for the quiet...

If I owe you an email I promise I will get it out today. Things have been very crazy around here.

The short version...

We had to say goodbye to our beloved Missy Moo on Saturday morning. Her health has been going downhill and it was time to make her comfortable.

Saturday evening we celebrated my mother's birthday and my husband got stuck at work because of the fires closing all the freeways.

Sunday my sister and her family got evacuated from their home because of the fires and ended up here with her kids and 4 (yes 4) dogs. Luckily the winds shifted and the fire didn't get her house. Then my in-laws came over for a long planned visit.

Monday was my 1st wedding anniversary so my husband and I spent the day together and today is my husband's birthday.

When I'm exhausted just writing all that! I have about 20 emails to catch up on but I promise to get back to you soon as possible.

Just a snapshot by my niece of my family.

Goodbye my sweet Missy Moo. I miss my sweet girl.

Baby and the Beach

We met Becki and her husband Andy at one of my favorite locations Crystal Cove in Laguna beach.
I have to admit I have baby belly envy. Becki just has the cutest little belly! Congrats Becki and Andy can't wait to meet little Luke in January.

While my friend Val was here taking pictures of my grumpy son (sorry Val) I captured a few of her camera shy son Eric. It's so much fun getting to spend time with Eric and get a pre-view of what Pierce will be doing in a year and a half.

Halloween Elmwood Court style

When my neighbors came over to check out our Halloween decorations Olivia in her Halloween costume was too cute to resist. I grabbed a couple of pumpkins and plopped her down in my front yard for a mini-shoot. Check out her adorable pumpkin hair clip her mom made. She even has her own Etsy shop CPMelo.etsy.com.
Doesn't she make just the cutest little bear?
