2009 was an amazing year for me as I was able to explore my long held dream of photography. Before I was quite ready to handle it I had more clients than I could count! How wonderful to finally explore my dream.
I counted and realized I shot over 14 weddings and too many sessions to count. I have grown as a photographer and person and am grateful for the experience.
As amazing as the experience has been it has been effecting the amount of time I have to spend with my family, especially my son. I can either have photography or I can have a life.
So with a happy heart I have closed Elmwood Court Photography and am spending time with my family.
Thank you to all my clients for an amazing year and for letting me be a part of your special moments.
Although I may still be posting sessions they are only for my family and friends and I thank you for your interest but I am no longer accepting clients with no exceptions.
Thank you again,
Amy

Moments like this...

Monica and Daniel were married Friday the 27 with the Dodger blue color of their favorite team as inspiration.

I'm super busy with one wedding and three shoots in the last 5 days so for now I will have to post a mini sneak peak with Monica and Danny's first dance song.

Congratulations Monica and Danny. Thank you for letting me share your special day.

Great Expectations

For the most part put a camera in my hand and I'm a happy woman, but put a camera in my hand with two happy people like Holly and John I'm in photographer's heaven.

We met at Prospect Park in Redlands for their maternity shoot and had so fun exploring the park and finding places to shoot. I definitely plan on future shoots at Prospect Park.

Holly and John's baby boy L in Late May or early June and I can't wait to meet him.

Katie Katie married lady...

Beautiful Katie whom I had the pleasure of working with for her Boudoir pictures married her groom Tony in a lovely backyard ceremony on Saturday.

The weather was perfect and the red and orange colors just glowed in the sunlight as family and friends surrounded Katie and Tony while they exchanged their vows.

For now I will post a sneak peak of my sneak peak but look for a sideshow later (as soon as the program downloads).

I'm not Irish...

but kiss me anyway!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

You say happy we say birthday..

We first planned this fist birthday cake smash six months ago when I first worked with Sarah. It's hard to believe it's already here.

We started out with a few shots in the park and then went back home for some cake smashing action.

Happy Birthday Sarah

Things are changing around here..

Pierce is 7 months now and almost crawling. I expect that we are going to be in some real trouble any day now.

He has two teeth breaking through his bottom gum. He's been beyond miserable but I think the worst is over. At least for now.

He's started sleeping in his crib. Harder on Momma than it's been on Pierce but it's time even though it's been hard to let go.

Everyday his personality comes out more and more and I'm thrilled by the person he's already becoming.

I look forward to each day and can't wait to see what changes it will bring..

For Better or Better...

Maybe I've seen too many movies but when I heard it was going to be a courthouse wedding I guess I was expecting something cold, and even a little sterile. Well the wedding of Minnie and Ben was anything but cold and sterile . It turned out to be one of the of the warmest, heartfelt, funnest weddings I've ever been too.

Minnie's laugh and joy were infectious and when she changed the vows from "for better or worse" to "for better or better" I got a little girl crush.

The ceremony was held at the Laguna Hills Civic center which turned out to be a surprisingly beautiful location for a wedding.

and the handsome groom Ben
Getting all the paperwork done...
We crammed about 50 people in a room meant for 1o. Far from being a negative it made the ceremony even more fun and intimate. I just love this group shot.

The first kiss...
Minnie's reaction to their first kiss...
and Ben's

as you can see I didn't have the only camera there...

some location shots of the Laguna Civic Center...

We had time for a quick trip to the beach for a few shots. Poor Minnie froze but looking at these shots it was worth a few goose bumps.

and cutting the cake Minnie and Ben style

OK I could keep going on and on with photos there are so many great one's to choose from but I'm going to make myself stop here and go play with my son.

Congratulations Minnie and Ben and thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding.
